For those who need to know: Insurance Carriers have been making $500 - $1,000 Hurricane deductible offers for Home Owners Insurance. If you have a % Deductible in your current policy you might want to ask your Agent how much to get off the % Deductible and moved to a Stated amount. I am surprised at how inexpensive the change is vs. the cost of a large out of pocket expense that a Hurricane might create.
